2018-2019 School Year for most, First year for a few.
The grade 2 students at Martin Road Elementary School in the Lackawanna City School District, Lackawanna, New York and I have something in common. We enjoyed Martin Road Elementary School for the first time together. Yes there were other students, whose families moved to Lackawanna during the school year, who joined the ranks of being a first year participant. Martin Road Elementary School is a place where the love for learning, the dedication for teaching, and the love for children is seen throughout the school building by all staff.

2008-12-05 03:36 AM He tries to hide behind the cloak of two lives. One life he lives in public, in front of his professional colleagues as well as in front of his wife, his son, his family and friends. The other life he lives in private, where he believes no one is watching. He wakes up one day, in the middle of the night to ask God if he is watching.
In his private life he is burdened by bad habits, bad decisions, and a tremendous amount of shame and guilt. While he has felt like he has been unable to break the chains of bondage, he remains hopeful that some day, some day soon, these chains will break and he will be set free. His freedom will not come from being free to do as he pleases, since he has no limits and enjoys his public life. His freedom will come from eliminating the bad habits and bad decisions that he makes in private. This freedom will rid him of the shame and guilt that weighs heavy on his mind and heart.
In his public life, he understands that his colleagues and friends must see the evidence that he has bad habits. His nails are destroyed from the biting, his body is overweight from gluttony, and his guilt deprives them of his full and complete loving and caring self.
Dear Lord, I pray that you reach out to this person and help him to see the wonderful gifts that he has to serve you. I pray that you open his mind and strengthen him in the area of self-discipline and integrity that he may break his chains of bondage. Dear Heavenly Father, watch over him in his times of privacy and help him to know and feel your presence and bring awareness to him to know that you are watching, caring for, and loving him at all times. Lastly Lord, I pray that someone reading this will also pray for him and reach out to him to know that in his private times, he is not alone, he does not need to carry the shame and guilt, and that it is through your grace and mercy that he will come to have the strength to break the chains. I pray that through his freedom he may come to learn of your purpose for him and he truly feels your grace and mercy and knows Your love for him in his body, mind, heart, and soul. Amen.
